Sorry I have not posted in a while. Been quite busy with everything. Still running vista on my laptop and I must say that they made a huge improvement since SP1. There are still stability problems with explorer but overall it runs so much better than people say it does. I still think alot of it is just extra garbage like 3D Flip and the dam network and sharing thing. They should also have a better defragment program because this one you have no idea what its doing or working on or even when it will be done.

Also, I have just started using distributive computing networks. I have a client for folding@home running when my iMac is booted into Vista. I felt like helping out Stanford because most of the time i’m doing nothing with my computer. It just sits and runs all day. Lucky it uses almost no power because of the mobile chip it is using. Most of it is the same exact as my laptop, which I love.

Anyway, sorry to bore you with my vista garbage.

Vista:

Well I have been playing with vista for a few days now and I am actually starting to like it. There of coarse plenty off annoying things it does but overall not bad at all. There is something about the Aero glass I like. I think the network sharing thing was just plain stupid. I have also been testing out IE 8 beta for a bit. Crashes all the time. Mostly my site which brings me to the next topic.

CSS:

I love the idea of CSS but this is getting really frustrating. I have been working on setting up drop down menus on my site for 4 days. They still do not fully work. They do but you will see alot of bugs I have not been able to find and fix yet. I am just pulling out my hair. Think of the ACE hardware commercial where the woman cant decide the color of her room and starts pulling her hair. Think of that with not very long hair.

Well I finally had to try it. I installed vista buisness on my laptop. Lucky for me I have a 2nd hard drive that I swap back and forth on this. Well this all started with me trying it out on my iMac. After really playing with it, with all the updates, it seems that it has come a long way since it first came out. A few hangups but nothing bad. Remember, since its a relativity new operating, its expected to have a few problems here and there. Overall it is much nicer than I ever thought. There are plently of things I wish they would have just left alone, like the dam network settings. Anyway, ill make this an on going thing to just test it out for a long time. Lets see if it can live up for what I use it for.

Recently i realized how much of a pain it is to write the whole site in html. What happens is that when i change the link on one pages nav bar, i have to change every single page. So my friend matt said i should start converting my whole site over to php based so its all dynamic. He was right. So right now my entire site is now switching over to php.

My cat has another blockage. I dont know what to do because we don’t have the funds to bring him back to the vet. He could die very soon because of this. Me and my mom are going to call around to see if anyone else will help but if you would like to help, i’m adding a donate link.

So i was about to send a message to a co-worker over AIM and somehow it popped up as he was online for negitive time? I go “Negitive time? What has the world come too?” To prove it, here is a screenshot.

Its finally starting to come along. Im starting to figure out what i want to do with it. Doesnt mean i will get that far but it cant hurt to try atleast. I know I cannot spell. So dont say anything about it. Im working on running spell check on everything but you know how many seconds it takes to do it. Im to lazy to do that. Cat is home and more happy (great grammer too. Im special) and starting to pee again. Making a huge mess of my room though. Dam cat. I never realized how much work it is to set this all up and to keep from breaking things. I give the web people alot of credit for knowing how to do this without messing up. Well one day i hope i can do this sort of stuff no problem. Even though my major is in IT/Network engineer, it will still be usefull.

So finally i got around to setting up gmail to work with email clients. I setup Mail that comes with OSX (if you didnt know i use it) and its much nicer than i thought. So i set that all up just about an hour ago. Now i need to figure out the next thing i want to do before i pass out (long 13 hour work day). Cat is still having problems with urination and it doesnt help that the medication he needs he struggles to no end to avoid. He does seem to be getting better. I hope he does. Heres a picture of him before all this. Yes, and i have even worse pictures of him.

So a full class of cisco 2. The professor is quite special. He is apprently not well at speaking to people, not even himself. Its quite funny actually. UUHHH, is what he uses between every word that he says. He is even worse of a geek than i am.

Stuck in school again today. Ill be lucky if i pass this semester. I have this problem where i just dont have the want or drive o just do good. Anyway, I went to visit my cat in the animal hospital, Mo. Last week my mom needed to bring him in there because he just didnt look right. it turns out that he just couldnt pee. He had a blockage that didnt alow him to. So it all backed up into his kidneys and gave him alot of problems. He seems to be getting better from what i saw. He loved that i was there. Other than that i have no idea when he will be coming home. I really hope soon because im really starting to miss the cat.
