It turns out that it seems like only the valves got the brunt of the damage. It is not official that it is the only damage, but it seems that might be all that is needed. What he has found out that this very tiny plastic sensor cover fell off and slowly melted. Eventually a piece of it broke off and got lodged in between the lower crank cog and the timing belt. I am also still waiting on my parts to ship and get my t-shirt (V-Dub, The crossed finger thing. I’ll show you when I get it).

Turns out that the timing belt skipped while it was running and killed it. It is in the shop getting fixed though but it’s going to cost over $2k to repair. What needs to be done is have the head machined, new valves, gaskets, timing belt etc. All the stuff I have been dreading to do. Lucky for me though, my grandparents are going to help me out with paying for it and I get to buy the nice light weight accessory belt pulleys I have been eying for months. Also, since I forgot to say it, they are colored red. It is going to look “Hot” under my hood. Still though, I highly doubt that anyone will, but if you can please donate some money via pay pal, please do so.

Today I was helping my friend Andrew out with returning his new XBox back to best buy, only because it came with the wrong DVD-ROM drive than can’t be flashed, and to get a new one. I was bored and needed to get out today so I said “Why not? Something to do that I am not choking on dust.” When at Best Buy, he ended up forgetting his receipt in his moms car. She said she is at Pathmark. The only one I knew about was the one on rt 27 (Sunrise Hwy) in Sun Vet Mall. Well here is the fun part. While I was pulling into the main entrance, right when I hit the stop sign, the car stalled for no real reason. I try to start it again and all it does is turn over and over. He gets out and pushes me into a spot. Nothing.

At first I thought it was my fuel pump so his mom drove me to my local Advanced Auto to talk with them to try to figure this all out. The guy said it must be my fuel pump that is doing that. Well after what just happened, it is definitely not the fuel pump. Later tonight, Biggs picked me up to try to figure out the problem. Some how while testing out the fuel pump and fuel check value, he got completely drenched in gas. He pulled the wrong line. In the end, it is still sitting in the parking lot all sad and it makes me sad. I hope tomorrow its all fixed and before 11:40 for school. If not I am forced to drive my grandpas Yankees machine around.

I can’t understand why my cat does this stuff to me. Last night my cat was was jumping, standing and using me as a pillow on my own bed. I actually woke up with him standing on my chest with his nose almost in my mouth. It freaked me out a whole lot. Than he did this for the next few hours till about 7AM when I woke up. Mind you, this started like 2:30ish AM this morning. He does not make much sense at night at all.

Also, the timing belt cover that I was painting. Yea, I sort of destroyed it yesterday trying to get back into the car and now I have to find another one to paint again and hopefully not break this one.

I am still having problems with my hosts e-mail server. I e-mailed a blog post with something everyone should like about two days ago and it still did not post so keep an eye out under this post for the next week or so. It will eventually pick it up, but who knows when.

I received my new La Fondera a few days ago and forgot to post it. I know, how did I already get it? Don’t ask me. It said like 2-3 weeks delivery when I got it in two days. Well of course the first thing was rip the box open, check to see which model I got, and put it back into the box and back on my shelf. I don’t know when I am going to set that one up but it will happen at some point. The old FON is completely dead. I got the serial cable from e-bay two days ago or something. I tried testing it out and what did you know, nothing at all showed up on the terminal. I was looking up about JTAG ing it but it seems like it is very very hard to get it to work right. That is a future project. Right now I have to much going on.

Krass and me now have a plan, or should I say will have one since I didn’t even give him dimensions of anything in my room, to build my new desk. If I did not tell you, my desk is way way to small for me. I can barely fit my 20″ iMac on it, let alone my second monitor. HUMMM. That just gave me another idea of what to do when this new desk is done. Ill try to remember and post it later on but ill let you all suffer (Like anyone actually cares enough) for awhile.

Wow! This is some random tangent I went of to tonight. I think the 13 hour work day completely got to me. Um, i’m going to just shut up now before I make this a full page.

Just an update how my painting project is working out. So far I have not destroyed anything but my left hand which is now completely white and black. The first picture is not before picture but it is right after I put a coat of black over the words and masked it off. When they are white, that is almost done. The last thing I need to finalize is the main cover and the VW logo.

A random idea popped into my head about 10 minutes ago for something I should change to on my site. Since I do not update all the other files on my site to often, I thought that I should add a PHP function on my page to read the files modified date and post it on the page. That’s all well and good but here is the problem. I really don’t feel like placing it on every page, I want it more dynamic. I was thinking maybe put it into the footer but than how will it know what file to look at? One page on average uses at least 5 to 6 PHP files to render the whole page. I did find the function filemtime() but as I already said, I don’t know how I should go about making it just picking out the one file that has the content on it. Well I’ll probably be ripping out what is left of my hair for the next few days making it work. For now though, it’s bed time.

Some how I ended up at Biggs for really no reason. It’s nothing special but it is something to do. Than out of no where, Jacob pulled out “Dead or Alive: Xtream 2″. Very random it is and very female filled.

I reinstalled Windows Vista Business x64. So far it’s done nothing but freeze up and just not work with most programs, even its self. It’s sad how they made people use this garbage OS. I am still going to try running it as everyday computer but I don’t know how much more I can take with it. I know it’s not my ThinkPad that is slowing it down. Anyway, I’ll keep updating my (probably bad) experiences with Vista.

I finally figured out why my “e-mail to post” system is not working. It turns out that my webhost is having plenty of problems with their mail server. Well atleast I know whats wrong and I hope that it will be addressed very soon.

Update: It seems that right after I posted this post, out of no where two of my meny test posts from my BB posted. I’m getting confused what the F is going on with that.
