Yesterday in the mail, I received two nice new parts. Brand new set of 1996 B4 CHA code TDI 0.717 02A gears for my 02J.

I also received a few stickers for my winter steelies project.

More details will be posted as I am working on them.

Ordered a few more tools for my set to get this oily grease bomb together (aka. Transmission). Ill get the gears in when I get the sockets. For now, they will proudly sit on my desk.

Hello again. Its been a while since I posted on my Blog. Nothing really new has been happening lately. Tomorrow I should be getting a new set of H&R race springs from ECSTuning to try to balance my car out just a bit. Now let’s see when I actually get them installed.

I have been busy since I bought myself an XBox 360 about a month ago. I love it so much already. Never got around to setting netflix back up again so I can use the application on the 360 to stream movies. If your ever online give me a shout out. My gamertag is “ihavenoideax2″.

I no longer have the license plate “AGTBANKS”. I could no longer afford the new NYS registration price hike. I did keep one of them just because but you won’t see it anymore in pictures of the car.

What started as “Let me test my summer wheels to see if they will or will not rub since the car is lowered” turned in to “Dam, that looks hot! I think I’ll just keep them on”. Ill show you what I mean.

You can’t say it doesn’t look good. I mean I like love my BBS wheels but the Euro R32 reps are just so perfect for it. Now I need to sort out the reverse rake it has. I plan on getting my front fenders rolled than cutting a coil or two off the front struts. Who knows when that will happen but that’s the plan.

I have been a bit busy to post any updates since H20. What I can tell you is that I am close to getting my suspension installed in the car since I bought it about 5 months ago. All the bits have new bushings and mounts and what not. I was thinking that I should wait till after winter to get them installed.

I also got my hands on a usable and repairable set of VW BBS Montreal 2s. They have a little curb rash and a lot of scratches but they are straight and true and balanced. I also just ordered a set of BBS center caps for them. I am just going to run them as is for now as my “Winter Wheels” but over the summer I think I might fix them up. Ill keep you posted.

Edit: Wow, I didn’t realize till after I posted it that this is exactly one month since the last post.

What I will be doing is instead of having a carpet on the trunk, I will be doing a full on hardwood floor with a hatch to get to the rear tire. I won’t be doing a half-ass job that most people do by placing the wood right over the carpet. Also, I will be installing my sub after all. I have a Rockford Fosgate 10″ Punch sub that I was going to sell but decided against it now. Now my plan with that is actually mounting in a cardboard box with a wood box inside it to hold it all together. Than right on the top, cut the hole in the wood box and mount the sub in there. When the floor is done, I will screw the whole box to the floor. This makes it look like a random package in the trunk with a sub in it, like I just opened the box for a new sub. Let me know what you think.

Again this site helps me. The site VWVortex Forums has a nice section for buying and selling all things VW. This is where I managed to sell quite a few items that I had lying around for extra money. One thing I ended up buying was a full used struts, shocks and springs set for my Jetta which I am still trying to have someone help me install them. Now I have my sights on a used column pod with VDO boost gauge for $60. Now all I need to do is sell a few more things and I could get it.

Finally got around to painting my front grill black to make it look better with the white. Here is my final product.

Sunday I went to one of the best events in my life. Waterfest 15. North Americas largest gathering of VW’s and Audi’s. With this post, I will be going over everything I did along with the pictures that I took. I didn’t take as many as I thought I would because of the sheer size of the event and the fact that I did not have an SLR.

I left my house at about 6am and immediately went to search for a car wash that is open that early. Well turns out there isn’t any, well, that I know of. I tried Vets Car Wash down the road from me. It wasn’t so instead of taking the LIE, I ended up taking 27. I was going to get off at Robert Mosses Causeway and take Southern PKW to the Belt but I completely forgot about it so I said whatever. Remember, it is 6:20am. I started to continue to take 27 all the way to the Belt PKW. At that point I really wished I got off at RM since I would have missed all the traffic lights, even though since it was early I barely hit any. Finally get to the Belt towards Verrazano-Narrows Br into Staten Island. I didn’t realize that the bridge went up to $11 a car. Took 440 south to Outer Br and than onto Rt 9 south. When I got to the track, I got completely confused at where I was going. Took me a good 10 minuets just to get to the huge exhibition parking lot I was parking in.

Finally, I got there and started to get overwhelmed with Audi’s and VW’s. One after another they where pulling in. From full stock to completely rebuilt cars. It was just amazing. Thing was that I got there very very early so I needed to wait to actually get into the grounds with all the vendors and such. I had to take a quick look around the parking lot just to see what was around. Here are some pictures. Most of these where later in the day since there where a lot more.

Finally It turns 9am and a flood of people made it into the vendor area. Here is what I saw though it.

I am now on a mission to rebuild my interior of my Bora. As is I figured out how to remove my full center console and gear shifter as you can see from the pictures below. It turns out that someone at some point in the cars life split soda all into the console. If you look close at the pictures, there are brown spots on the white paint. That is sticky soda stuff. Next I need to do is fix the fabric on the doors because well its falling off.

The main reason I am doing this is because the 19th (next sunday), I am going to an Audi/VW car show in Englishtown, NJ. I will be in the exhibition area along with a lot of other VW/Audi drivers. I will be taking lots of pictures of my adventure and posting them on here.
