I can’t understand why my cat does this stuff to me. Last night my cat was was jumping, standing and using me as a pillow on my own bed. I actually woke up with him standing on my chest with his nose almost in my mouth. It freaked me out a whole lot. Than he did this for the next few hours till about 7AM when I woke up. Mind you, this started like 2:30ish AM this morning. He does not make much sense at night at all.

Also, the timing belt cover that I was painting. Yea, I sort of destroyed it yesterday trying to get back into the car and now I have to find another one to paint again and hopefully not break this one.

I am still having problems with my hosts e-mail server. I e-mailed a blog post with something everyone should like about two days ago and it still did not post so keep an eye out under this post for the next week or so. It will eventually pick it up, but who knows when.

I received my new La Fondera a few days ago and forgot to post it. I know, how did I already get it? Don’t ask me. It said like 2-3 weeks delivery when I got it in two days. Well of course the first thing was rip the box open, check to see which model I got, and put it back into the box and back on my shelf. I don’t know when I am going to set that one up but it will happen at some point. The old FON is completely dead. I got the serial cable from e-bay two days ago or something. I tried testing it out and what did you know, nothing at all showed up on the terminal. I was looking up about JTAG ing it but it seems like it is very very hard to get it to work right. That is a future project. Right now I have to much going on.

Krass and me now have a plan, or should I say will have one since I didn’t even give him dimensions of anything in my room, to build my new desk. If I did not tell you, my desk is way way to small for me. I can barely fit my 20″ iMac on it, let alone my second monitor. HUMMM. That just gave me another idea of what to do when this new desk is done. Ill try to remember and post it later on but ill let you all suffer (Like anyone actually cares enough) for awhile.

Wow! This is some random tangent I went of to tonight. I think the 13 hour work day completely got to me. Um, i’m going to just shut up now before I make this a full page.

I flashed the La Fonera Plus over to a new firmware that is based completely on the original FON firmware but way more options. Since I turned my original FON into a zombie, I bought a flash cable of ebay to resurrect it from the dead. I am still using the La Fonera+ as a FON for now till I get my flash cable than I am going to flash the zombie one with the same firmware as the La Fonera+. So once that is done and up and working, that will become my main FON because I don’t want the Private SSID and to be able to manage it via my wired network. Other than that I have no idea what I am going to do with the other two.

The FON is dead for now. I just ordered a serial adapter to reflash it. Seems like I am becoming the mad scientist of networking equipment lately like me building my mini board router for instance, killing another perfectly working router. Stuff like that. I still don’t know what I would like to do with the dead FON. Should I put the FON firmware back on it or DD-WRT or what should I even use it for? I would like it if someone would like to give me some ideas.

Well there is none…for now

I get an email this morning saying someone regestered on my blog. Ok, so what. Someone found my site and actually is interested in it. Than I check out the new comment from the new user. It’s a person from FON itself asking me to if I would like to have him help me. I did not get an email back from him yet, but its the point that this all happened. I am hoping that it went though. I have been having little problems with my BlackBerry sending emails. I think I fixed it by now but who knows.

I tried to flash my La Fondra back to the original FON firmware so I can use it as a FON again. For the people that don’t know what I am talking about, it’s a WiFi sharing network/community that you have this small router to share your internet with other FON users. So if I find someone that has a FON Spot as it is called, I can connect because I am another FON user.

So to get back to the main topic, I flashed DD-WRT on it awhile ago for no real reason. I ended up never using it with DD-WRT on it and it ended up getting boxed and shelved. Out of no where, I ended up taking it out of the box and messing with it to try to make it into a FON spot again. That failed miserly so I flashed it back to the factory FON firmware and trying to get it back to being a FON. Well, for some reason I cant get it to start right.

I want to throw it!
