What I will be doing is instead of having a carpet on the trunk, I will be doing a full on hardwood floor with a hatch to get to the rear tire. I won’t be doing a half-ass job that most people do by placing the wood right over the carpet. Also, I will be installing my sub after all. I have a Rockford Fosgate 10″ Punch sub that I was going to sell but decided against it now. Now my plan with that is actually mounting in a cardboard box with a wood box inside it to hold it all together. Than right on the top, cut the hole in the wood box and mount the sub in there. When the floor is done, I will screw the whole box to the floor. This makes it look like a random package in the trunk with a sub in it, like I just opened the box for a new sub. Let me know what you think.

H20i is getting close but so is my birthday it seems? Getting very excited about it. I am now definitely on this cruse down to OCMD (Ocean City, Maryland). I will be on the Southern CT/NY leg which will meet up at 7:30ish. If anyone wants to tag along, let me know. I don’t really want to go by myself.

It seems like I am going on a small cruse down to H20i. I have been posting on the thread below and I am definitely going to be driving down with this group. Now I just want to know if I should actually show the car or not.

Got my new Euro Tail Lights today. Fit perfect but it was a complete bitch to install. Its not the bolts but it is there they are located. VW really does not want people to work on their cars. Well here is the finished product.

So it turns out that the two mechanics and I was wrong about the shocks. They are actually in great shape. Not cosmetically, but performance wise. Now I will make sure they will get them installed or better, me do it.

Today I performed an oil change on my Bora. As usual, the car felt like dropping all its oil all over my driveway. Seems like every time I do it, more oil gets everywhere. The problem is that I noticed metal shavings in the oil when it was drained. I brought it up to my mechanic Paul to get his opinion. He said that it should not be a problem but you never know.
In other news, the shocks that I went up to Brewster turn out to be bad. This sucks a lot since I spent $300 for them. Well, I sent the kid an PM though the VW Vortex Forums about returning for my money back. It’s not his falt, he didn’t know. Nether did I.

Yesterday I got my new 4motion valance but didn’t have the time to install it yesterday. Today after school, I got my chance to do it. This meant pulling off my bumper and fitting the new one on. It was not a direct fit like I was told but all I needed to do was sand away just a bit of overhanging plastic and it snapped back on. Now look how nice it looks.
Now all I need to do is install my new Koni Cup Sport Yellow shocks and Neuspeed Race Springs to drop the car a little bit. Than it will look hot.
